Glowing red and orange
They say he’s the darker force
But the angel bears the horns
They say Satan tells me not to shower
To do drugs and not go to work
And the angels tell me to support the prison system
Sometimes I think the halo hovers over the wrong head
And the wrong fingers are clenched to that pitchfork

So lay me down, lay me down in the dirt
And flash my life before my eyes
To show me what I’m worth
I’m not worth shit, but I can pretend
To make myself feel alright
While I plummet towards this weary end
It’s just a ploy
And we’re all cogs in their plan

Can’t get caught up or slow down
